Stud Baker

Here is a cool pic of the bread making experience from Doug T at church. What a stud. He converted a kerosene heater into an oven! I'm so proud of him.

Well Done (wink). After all, bread is the staff of life. And the more Dough you can get, the better!

Here is a true wheat story. We are setting up storage shelves in our basement as part of the process of rebuilding our supply. We depleted it before leaving on our mission. Now back home we opened a large plastic barrel containing six 50-lb bags of wheat. We bought it in 1984-1985, moved it a couple of times while in the USAF and it has been in that barrel for the past 18 years. We opened it today, cut into the bag(tough plastic like water softener salt comes in. There was another inner plastic bag. The wheat was dry, clean, fresh smelling, and contained no insect of rodent habitats. We are cooking up some now and will forward the toxicology reports after we eat it. In the last month we have used about 10 pounds of wheat in salads, soups, meatloaf, and in cereal.

...All this and the man can fish! The web site is a week old and already getting hits from the pacific rim. Why don't you toss in some google ads and retire fat and happy? Great Job oh "wise and noble one"!

ok, i wish we had an emergency preparedness person like you in our ward! i will now be coming to you with all sorts of questions, i hope you don't mind. we are doing pretty good in getting the food supply going, or so i think. can you tell me where i can go to get the so called "list" of what we need for our family? that way i can tell exactly how far behind we are! :)
